The Official IBCC 2026 Grade Scale

The new 10-point grading system replaces the old 7-point scale (A-1, A, B, C, D, E, F) from 1st Annual 2026:

Grade	Percentage Range	Description
A++	96% – 100%	Extraordinary
A+	91% – 95%	Exceptional
A	86% – 90%	Outstanding
B++	81% – 85%	Excellent
B+	76% – 80%	Very Good
B	71% – 75%	Good
C+	61% – 70%	Fairly Good
C	51% – 60%	Above Average
D	40% – 50%	Emerging
U	Below 40%	Ungraded

The new passing mark is 40%. Students scoring below 40% receive a U grade. The old F grade no longer exists.

GPA Status: IBCC has deferred GPA implementation until all examination boards adopt the new grading system. Currently, only letter grades and percentage scores are reported on result slips.

Note: Punjab and KPK boards had not officially confirmed adoption at time of publication. Verify with your specific BISE before updating result cards.

Should all schools implement the revised IBCC grading criteria?

All schools under confirmed adopting boards (FBISE, Sindh, Balochistan, AJK, GB) are required to reflect the new scale on result cards from 1st Annual 2026. Punjab and KPK are still pending official confirmation.

What if my board uses different grade boundaries?

Enter your board's specific boundaries in Acadlio's Settings tab. It uses exactly the numbers you enter — no assumptions.

Can I generate result cards for primary classes?
